It's great for complete beginners! My video courses are very beginner-friendly and targeted at people who have zero or little experience with Affinity software. They're also suitable for more experienced designers and illustrators who perhaps wish to transition from Adobe software into Serif tools (Designer, Photo, Publisher).

Any version of Affinity Designer, desktop or iPad. I will be demonstrating on my iPad in Designer V2. There is one important difference between V1 and V2: the older V1 version doesn’t have the auto-close option for the Pencil Tool, so you will need to make sure to close your vector shapes manually.

In this course we will be building a repeat pattern from A to Z. The Vector Assets course gives you an in-depth training on how to create the “building blocks” for your patterns, assets (pre-made saved elements which you can use repeatedly in multiple designs).

You can also take this course, and instead of drawing new elements, you can build a pattern with me with the assets that you created in my Vector Assets course.

No, this course is an introduction to creating vector patterns in Affinity Designer and it only covers the FULL-DROP repeats. Full-drop repeats or standard repeats are great to get started with pattern design.

Gumroad is an e-commerce platform that allows creators to sell products directly to their audience, which apparently has been on the market since 2011. It extremely popular with selling digital products, such as digital illustration brushes, but also online courses and tutorials.

After Skillshare changed their payment model in September 2022, I needed to diversify and start offering my courses outside of Skillshare. The main reason: my income on SK was reduced by half. You’ll be supporting me more by buying my video courses via Gumroad, where I will earn more than 2€ per student :)

For starters, you will have to set up a profile so that you get a password-protected access to my course. If you buy different kinds of products on Gumroad, you will have a lifelong access to them via the Gumroad Library. You will be able to stream my course videos just like on Skillshare with the same options for resizing the window or speeding up the audio.
